I didn't plan my next act. Life did.
Next Act Rising began the way most useful things do — because something was missing, and waiting for someone else to build it started to feel silly.
In 1998 I moved from Germany to the United States, got married, and became a mom to two boys. In 2001 we moved our family to Florida, and I built a life in a place that was completely new to me.
Over the years I learned something important: you can build a life once and still have to build it again.
After my divorce in 2022, I found myself at a crossroads. I had spent years building a family, a home, and a career — now I had to figure out who I was and what I wanted the next chapter to look like.
So I rebuilt. I turned a part-time real estate career into a full-time one. I built a mobile spray-tanning business and eventually sold it. I created online courses. I learned new technology and started using AI in my work — all while navigating changing family responsibilities, including aging parents, and a body that was asking for different things than it used to.
Starting over doesn't mean starting from zero. You take your experience with you.
Your skills.
Your relationships.
Your mistakes.
Your lessons.
Your ideas.
Your resilience.
Eventually I realized I wasn't the only woman asking, "What now?" Women reach a point in life where the old definition of success doesn't always fit anymore. The kids are grown. A marriage may have ended. Parents need more from us. Our finances need a reset. Our health matters in a different way. And somewhere in all of that, we can lose track of what we actually want.
I've lived enough of those transitions to know your next chapter doesn't have to be smaller than the one before it. It can be different.
That's why I created Next Act Rising — a place for women who aren't finished building, growing, earning, learning, traveling, connecting, or dreaming. You don't need to reinvent yourself from scratch. You need to figure out what you already have, what you want next, and what you're going to do about it.
I'm still building my own next act. I'd love to help you build yours.
What we believe
